Join the Community of Support for Escuela Caracol  Escuela Caracol does not currently receive any large scale funding from foundations or grants. All of our sponsorships and development projects are made possible by the gifts of ordinary people -- people like you. We receive support from families across the world and we work in partnership with teachers in schools and friends in other organizations. We receive small gifts from children who saved up their money from lemonade stands and first communions, and we receive larger gifts from organizations that hold fundraising events. Whether big or small, we are grateful for all assistance, for it is an entire community of support that makes our work possible. 1. Sponsorships for Indigenous Children  Sponsorships can be provided by individuals, families, groups and institutions. Sponsors receive updates on their particular student three times a year. If you make a monthly donation (see “How to Donate” below) at these levels you will receive a follow-up email with more details. The cost of sponsorship on a monthly basis is: • $85/month - Kindergarten • $170/month - First Grade If you want to help but cannot afford a complete sponsorship nor find a group to work with, we encourage partial sponsorships that we can then combine with others. For ease of combination, partial sponsorships can be made in monthly increments of $22 -- less than $1 per day. Your support is so important to these children and their families, and provides them with the educational opportunities to rise above the economic, social and cultural difficulties that confront them. For the past two years, our enrollment has nearly doubled each year, and as our student body grows, so do our facility needs. At the top of the list are new classrooms, followed by additional office space and a library. The program is called the Atitlán Education Project. 1. Credit Card donations (click here) can be made online to the Atitlán Education Project through a third-party web site provided by Congressional District Programs. Automatic deductions can also be set up on a recurring basis. For sponsorships, please enter the amount you can sponsor and select “monthly” under Donation Type. 2.
